Have you ever lay awake at night unable to sleep from the constant noise rattling in your head? Whether you call it stress or label it anxiety, the restlessness that consumes you when your mind can’t shut off from a conversation with a loved one that didn’t go well, or the constant bombardment of negativity from digital media is something alternative indie quartet Camens believe we’ve all experienced. Stemming out of the isolation and fear we all felt throughout the pandemic, the Stoke-on-Trent based outfit unveil their fourth single ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’, the final track taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘WORK/LIFE/BALANCE’. Encompassing everything the album and its title are all about, ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’ combines catchy choruses with infectious guitar licks, showcasing some of Camens finest work to date.
“With every note and word they easily bring you into a world of sunny days and fun nights, getting you psyched fort heir upcoming album "WORK/LIFE/BALANCE."- Earmilk
Having had the main riff for ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’ knocking around for a while, two productive studio sessions in early Summer 2023 saw the record come to life. Leading with powerful lyricism and punchy rhythms, Camens effortlessly interweave harmonic guitar melodies and moody bass motifs to flash their unique blend of indie rock. Injected with the bands signature slick rock sound, ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’ dives straight into the idea of being able to live and not just exist. Emphasising the struggles of working 40+ hours a week, fighting to pay bills on time and the crippling mental and physical health issues that swallow up so many of us, ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’ is an indie rock anthem for everyone who has ever experienced difficulties, hardships, and sleepless nights. Already securing a series of stellar successes, Camens have received support from the likes of John Kennedy at Radio X, press features across Earmilk, Clout Magazine and Plastic Magazine and locked in several festival slots for the summer including Jurassic Fields, LeeStock, The Weekend Fest and WeyFest. Kicking off with a stint supporting The K’s this April, Camens are already on track for chart placement in the run up to their album debut. ‘Sleep Patterns Repeating’ will officially be available on April 26th across all digital platforms, with the forthcoming album ‘WORK/LIFE/BALANCE’ following on May 3rd in conjunction with the start of Camens UK headline tour in their hometown of Stoke-on-Trent.
